WHAT I PERSON CAN DO!

Building Wealth and Relationships only takes one person.

Hello,

What one person can do was inspired by my partner in life - Keith.  Two years ago we sold our last business and decided that we had enough wealth to be financially free.  Now what would you do if you no longer had to work for money?  How would you spend the most valuable asset of your life -  your time?

From 2000 to 2006 Keith and I spent every waking hour in every day working.  An accommodation business never sleeps and never goes on holiday not even Christmas.  After 6 years of 120 hour/working weeks I decided that I had had enough and did not want to spend anymore of my precious time cleaning toilets.  I would prefer to live in a humpy in the forest than run myself ragged for anymore money.  So we counted our dollars and decided that if we put it all in the bank we could live off the interest (a very simple way of looking at it).  The business was sold and the frantic pace of life stopped.

So there we were time rich and and wondering what to do with it all.  It all seemed so obvious when we were working but now that we had time we didn't know what to do with it.  This was something entirely unexpected and so began our journey of life after business.

Keith began to write a newsletter to no-one in particular about this new life we were discovering and being a rather gregarious being he sent it out to everyone on his e-mail list.  Many people were intrigued and began to look forward to the next edition of the life of an ordinary person and introduce others to our journey.

Over 2 years the newsletters members has grown and the subject material has expanded as well.  The most incredible aspect of this simple newsletter about an ordinary life is that other people have shared with us their stories of giving and achieving and in turn their sharing have inspired others to be the best that they can be.

In the spirit of " Pay It Forward " (movie, watch it if you can) Keith's newsletter is touching other people in the most unexpected ways.

My experiment is to post the newsletter on the web and invite you to share our journey and hopefully take something away that could inspire you to give of yourself and to yourself the most precious gift of all - your time.
